Telehealth & Distance Healing

 Although I prefer in-person, hands-on healing sessions, it is not always possible or practical. In the past, I have done distance healing for my clients when they have been in the hospital, having surgery, homebound, or having an emergency that needed quick attention. I’m finding that in this current pandemic situation,the optimal choice for many is distance healing.

During this time of required social distancing, I am seeing a sharp increase in stress, anxiety, and panic attacks. Consequently, physical health if also suffering. Prolonged stress is very detrimental to emotional and physical health. As the CoVid situation seems to be a marathon rather than a sprint, I have decided to offer my support and services via distance healing.

Telehealth sessions can be useful for:

  1. Physical relief of pain or dysfunction.

  2. Guided stress reducing exercises and meditation, emotional release.

What does a telehealth session look like?

Telehealth sessions are conducted over the phone via Facetime or using a webcam to connect via Skype or Zoom. Telehealth sessions can also be just voice without video. We will begin your distance healing session with a check-in. How are you feeling emotionally? Where are you holding tension or feeling pain in your body? Then I will lead you in an exercise known as ground-and-fill. From that state of fully in your body, we will draw our attention to areas in the body that may need support or release. Using reiki and craniosacral techniques, I use “energetic hands” to facilitate release. You may feel as if my hands are actually on your body or you may just feel heat or pulsing as the restriction releases. A large part of my job facilitating your natural healing process involves witnessing your emotional state/stories to help release the accompanying physical consequences. Somatoemotional release helps the body by lowering anxiety and stress while increasing the parasympathetic (rest & digest) tone of the nervous system. Distance healing sessions often end as they started; a quick scan of the body and emotions to assess where you are.
